STF CERTIFICATION
We have begun the process of obtaining the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) certification — a recognition of responsible accommodation practices. Through this process, we continuously improve our environmental, social, and economic responsibility, offering our guests the assurance that their stay supports sustainable tourism.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
- We save energy and water through smart solutions and energy-efficient appliances.
- We take care of proper waste sorting and recycling.
- We encourage our guests to make environmentally friendly choices — for example, by choosing carbon-neutral ways to get around the Himos area.
ACCESSIBILITY BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
- Himos is easy to reach even without a car. Bus connections operate from cities such as Jyväskylä, Tampere, and Jämsä. Jämsä Railway Station provides train connections from all over Finland.
- Our goal is to inspire more travelers to choose public transport — it’s an environmentally friendly and effortless way to start your holiday in Himos.
